There he lives with his plans and dreams
Some mundane and some to the extreme
He wants to rise above it all tonight
And it’s a mystery that no-one can solve
There’s a period of panic; some strange isolation
But out there something calls
A minted man knows he’s gone too far
A mirror in front of who we are and it feels…
Better than the real thing
She wants to jump on the next train tonight
‘Cos it seems all has lost its spark
Trains run though her mind a lot
A metaphor of some thought
‘Cos there is some great evil out there
But at some point it will come down
Maybe a supernova will explode in the stars above
And turn this place around
Take a moment to find out what we are
Our places in the here and now
Maybe that’ll be better than the real thing
